One of the pre-production tasks you have for filming is to script an opening sequence. The BBC Writer's Room is an excellent source for this.

Work through them all - especially the ones on What is the Story?/ Character/ Beginnings/ Scenes/ Dialogue....
Keep some notes on the key things you have learnt from these posts.
